An argument began in a saloon in Clinton, Texas on Christmas Eve 1868 amoung Bill Sutton and Buck Taylor that resulted in the deaths of Buck Taylor and cousin Dick Chisolm. Several memoirs written of the incident differ greatly on what took place and who shot first, but most believe (on the Taylor side) that this was the beginning of the Taylor-Sutton Feud.
