Thomas McKinney was born in 1871 according to the 1880 and 1910 US Census. He was a carpenter. He married Frances L. Ferry in April 1901 and had a daughter, Ruby Hazel Mckinney in 1902. He died of stomach cancer in 1911 at the age of 41 in Galveston, Texas, He is buried in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
