Artemus Clark was born March 23, 1884 to William Harvey Clark and Mary Mentz Clark. He worked as a laborer for Public Works. He died January 22, 1929 in Spencer State Hospital in West Virginia. His body was donated to medical science by the hospital to West Virginia University. The death certificate lists the cause of death as general paralysis of the insane.
