John Blankenship was the second son of Elizabeth and Ralph Blankenship. He married an Elizabeth and died in 1754. He was a planter and owned over 700 acres of land in Chesterfield County, Virginia. His children were William, Isham, Hudson, Henry, Norvell, Matthew, Amy (Turner), Elizabeth (Morisset) and Elisha.
