How does a PhD change a light bulb ?
After arriving to assist with this project and finding such a creative scaffording design, I was able to convince him to make a minor design change before walking out on the pine boards. After taking pictures (no one would believe this otherwise), we added a steel ladder under the pine boards since they would never support his weight as originally designed. He then climbed up and changed the light fixture while I stood ready to call 911. This was in 2006 and amazingly, he's still alive today. True story.
