It wasn't until his later years that William needed a copy of his birth certificate. He was surprised when it arrived to find out his first name was actually John. His older brother Louis was surprised he didn't know and explained that their parents got into an argument with the 'John' he was named after and thereafter refused to call him by his first name. A Chili Recipe from William's Bar remains in the family.
