Betty graduated from Norwood High School in 1942 and Miami University in 1946 with a degree in Art and Home Economics. She taught at Glendale, Bridgetown, and Blue Ash Elementary Schools. Retired in 1984. Was the Montgomery, Ohio citizen of the year.

Chester graduated from Norwood High School in 1943 and the University of Cincinnati in 1951. Started teaching shop in Dayton, Kentucky. Taught in the Sycamore School District from 1952 - 1965. Was Mayor of Montgomery, Ohio. Served in Air Corps.
