After a successful career as an Executive in the corrugated box industry for many years, he retired at age 77. Previously , he spent twelve years in the U.S. Navy, serving as a Submariner deployed out of U.S. Naval Submarine base, New London , CT and serving aboard the battleship USS New Jersey out of Norfolk VA. His final assignment, was teaching ROTC at Holy Cross College in Worcester, MA.
Jack graduated from Lowville Academy, Lowville, NY and, enlisted in the Navy at age 18. Jack was an avid golfer. As a pilot, he flew a single engine plane for business and pleasure. He was a communicant of St Mary's Church, Hampden, MA for many years.
